<Flora> "Hey... this new path looks different.  Is it Ok to walk on 
it, KenKen?"

<ST> You are standing beside a Fuath.  Nobody is on a silver path.  
There are silver oak trees covered with snow in front of you.  The 
voice in your head says: "They are hurting the Liam seneschal."

* KenKen winces.

* Garland frowns deeply.

<Flora> "Oh my! How should we go? Run quickly?"

<Flora> "How far is it?"

<ST> voice: "It would take a crossbow arrow .5 heartbeats to get 
there."

<KenKen> "And *where*?"

<Flora> "Well, up the path, isn't it?"

<ST> [voice] "Where is where there are five enemies and only one Liam 
seneschal."

<Flora> "I know this will sound funny, but ... maybe... I should go 
first... you, know.. to see"

<ST> [voice] "Yes there is a path.  You COULD take it..."

<Flora> "'cause I have to TRY to make people to notice me, usually."

<Garland> "I could get there faster though... and back if there's 
trouble." He frowns a little and looks at Flora.  "Does that power 
a'yours still work here?"

<Flora> "Mr. voice, can we go off the path??"

<ST> [voice]  "SIR, if you please." 

<Flora> "Sorry.  Sir voice, can we go off the path? Is is safe for us 
to do so?"

* Flora to Garland in a whisper: I THINK so. I don't know fore sure, 
though.

<ST> [voice] ... sigh...  "You can go off the path.  It is not safe.  
It is not silver.  But it has never BEEN silver.  The pooka has taken 
it before and was not harmed.  But then, he didn't have five enemies 
to face at the other end.

* Flora to Garland in a whisper: Funny. I never thought of it as a 
POWER.

<KenKen> "Five - is no problem. We can take five, as long as we do it 
head on!"

<Garland> "Yeah, and they didn't have -us- to face," he grins 
slightly and nudges Flora.  "Sure it is.  I guess we'll know if it 
works or not when we can still notice you."

<Flora> Well, you guys can always see me now.  'cause you're my 
friends.  But those things up ahead

<Flora> Maybe I should go straight, and you guys sneak through the 
woods on either side?

<ST> [voice] "I must tell you that my fuaths will not enter the 
geased zone and all distance weapons are turned back."

<KenKen> "Well, I only have distance weapons!"

* Garland begins to say something to Flora, then turns and furrows 
his brow. "Turned back?"

<Flora> Well, magic doesn't work there, so if we are going to stop 
them hurting her, we have to go and stop them!

<Flora> We have my (her) sword and that axe

<ST> [voice] Magic does work there.  It just takes more glamour.  And 
glamour is drained from you in the area."

<Flora> Well, I think we don't have much time.  I hate to say it.. 
but we better get going if we are going to save her.

<KenKen> "Okey dokey.

<Garland> "And Flora's martial arts, and my less elegant 
techniques..." He works his hands a bit.  "Let's go!"

<Flora> try to sneak up and surprise them?

<ST> [voice}  "Ahem, your distance weapons will work once you get 
past the barrier.  My fuaths will not go there."

<KenKen> "Can your Fuaths show us the exact way?"

<Flora> Good idea!

<ST> [voice] "They can take you to an unexpected entry point."

<Flora> Yes!!

<Garland> "Sounds good to me."

<KenKen> "Thanks!"

* Flora looks at the boys, nods and says "Hai! Let's do it!"

<ST> [voice] "Close your eyes, and the satyr should hold Mahnang's 
hand.  The rest of you hold each other's, and make a line."

* Garland arches an eyebrow a little, then turns towards the one he 
takes to be Mahnang, offering his hand.

<ST> Mahnang reaches for the hand offered him.  He holds it gingerly, 
as if it might bite him.

* Flora grabs Garland's hand

* Flora the other one

* KenKen takes a hand.

<Flora> Lead on, Mahnang!

<ST> Mahnang looks into Garland's eyes.
